Hey savvies! Welcome back to another episode of the podcast. I’m so happy that you’re here. In today’s episode, we’re chatting about upleveling your podcast workflow because I’m sure plenty of you out there don’t have the most optimized workflow and are spending way more time than you need to be on your podcast production process each week.
How to Uplevel Your Podcast Workflow
So first up, you need to have a project management tool to manage your podcast process. Most of you should already be using a project management tool to manage the rest of your business tasks, but if not – girl you need to get one ASAP.
It doesn’t matter if you use Trello, Asana, ClickUp, or another option, but you definitely need a project management tool because pen and paper just aren’t going to cut it, especially when you’re ready to outsource to a podcast manager so it’s best to get these systems in place now so it’s not all chaotic when you are ready to outsource.
There are so many moving parts when it comes to producing your podcast that you’re bound to forget something so having it all laid out for you in a project inside of your project management tool is key.
Another thing you can do to uplevel your podcast workflow is utilizing batching. I have talked about batch recording plenty of times on the podcast but recording isn’t the only thing you can batch.
You can batch create graphics, batch edit, batch shownotes. You can batch pretty much anything your heart desires when it comes to podcasting.
This really helps you stay in the same mindset instead of constantly task switching and having to readjust your brain each time you do something new.
This especially helps if your podcast process is starting to overwhelm you but you don’t yet have the funds to outsource any part of your process to someone else.
If you do have the funds to outsource the task or tasks that are taking up the most of your time for your podcast, then this is something else that can help uplevel your workflow so that you can focus more on the content creation and less on all the other elements.
My final tip for upleveling your podcast workflow is to check out the Podcaster’s Kit which is chock full of resources to help you take your podcast to the next level. It’s only $47 and has so many amazing podcast resources and most cost more than $47 if you buy them directly from the sellers so it’s really a great bundle for current + aspiring podcasters like yourselves.
So to recap, you need a project management tool like yesterday to manage your podcast workflow, batching will be your BFF when it comes to maximizing your time and energy, outsourcing gives you so much time back if you have the funds to swing it, and the Podcaster’s Kit will give you all the tools you need to save time with your podcast.
I’d love to hear from you any tips you’ve learned on taking your podcast workflow to the next level.
