Welcome back to another episode of the podcast. I’m so happy you’re here. If you’re in the US, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving last week.

We had almost our entire family over at our place and it was a lot of fun but also very tiring. I am a huge fan of the holiday season and all of the busyness that it brings so I am always happy when November and December roll around.

Before we dive into the episode, I did want to tell you that our podcast listener survey is now available through the end of December and I’d absolutely love your feedback about the Savvy Podcasting for Entrepreneurs podcast so that we can continue to grow and improve our podcast.

You can find the survey here. Anyone who takes this survey will be entered to win a $25 Amazon gift card so make sure to leave your name and email address if you’re interested in winning.

Since 2022 is on the horizon, I thought it would be the perfect time to talk about preparing your podcast for 2022 and beyond.

Start content planning now – You’re going to blink and before you know it, it’s going to be 2022 so start nailing down your content for 2022 now. I recommend writing out a bunch of topic ideas at the very least but it also wouldn’t be a bad idea to start outlining and recording some episodes too to get a headstart.

It’s better to be ahead of the game than flying by the seat of your pants each week.

Reach out to guests for next year – Now is the perfect time to start solidifying your guests for 2022. This is something I’m working on the first week of December since I try to only record with guests a couple of times per year to maximize my time spent during the year on recording.

I know it sounds exhausting to record that many episodes over the span of a few days but it’s so nice to not worry about recording for a while and allows me to really just focus on marketing my episodes and growing my listenership instead of trying to record a new episode on the fly each week and feeling scrambled 24/7.

Conduct a listener survey – Conducting surveys for your listeners helps you get a better look into what’s working and what isn’t. You can use this data to find out where your listeners found you, what kind of content they enjoy the most, what guests they want to hear from, and more.

What do you need to do to start preparing for 2022? Shoot me a DM on Instagram to @Jenny.suneson and let me know your thoughts. I’d love to hear from you.
