Hey savvies! Welcome back to another episode of the podcast. In today’s episode, we’re chatting all about using virtual summits to grow your podcast.
If you have been around a while, you know that I host 2 summits a year in my own business and 2 additional joint summits per year.
So how can we pair podcasts and summits together? I’m glad you asked.
To backtrack a bit, I want to explain what a virtual summit is in case you’re not familiar with the term. A virtual summit is an online event usually around 3-4 days in length with anywhere from 12 to 30+ speakers.
So how can you use a virtual summit to grow your podcast?
There are really two ways you can do this.
- Host your own summit – Obviously, this option is going to be pretty time-consuming. Putting on a summit is a lot of work but it’s a great way to get in front of new audiences and really showcase your authority. Just like a podcast, a summit is also a funnel so once you’ve hosted the event and have all these new leads on your list, you can start talking about your podcast and turning your new subscribers into podcast listeners.
- Participate in other summits – This option is going to be much lower of a time commitment so I highly recommend starting with this one if you’re interested in summits at all. With most summits, they will allow speakers to promote a freebie to the audience so that you can get some leads directly from the summit since it is unethical for them to share the full registrant list.
So I’d love to know, have you ever spoken at a summit and/or hosted your own summit before? Let’s chat over on Instagram. My handle is @podcastingforentrepreneurs – I’d love to hear from you.
